Born 1984. Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by the allure of the theatre world. In my formative years, I was instantly captivated by the lavishness of the stage and its striking costumes, the depth of the worlds created through fabric. Following my training in interior design, it was an internship with renowned set designer Niek Kortekaas that made me realize I sought a direct relationship with the palpable and tactile elements that I found so enticing in costume design. I therefore decided to return to my studies, refining my skills within pattern drawing and costume creation.
Throughout these studies I worked as a freelance costume designer and stylist, working for numerous clients in film, theatre, contemporary dance, and music. My subsequent work has seen me develop a diverse portfolio across a range of mediums, working extensively within the Flemish Opera, as well as collaborating with a wide range of musicians, fashion clients, and various advertising projects.
